South Orange County Cars & Coffee in San Clemente

South Orange County Cars & Coffee in San Clemente at a place called the Outlet Mall on July 13, 2019, was attended by 5 of our own; 4 MGB’s and one MGA. Matt Dabney, Michael Baiada, Glen Baxter, Bob Blaisdell (and another ?) met at a nearby donut shop, as planned; Rich Winslow joined up at the Show. The day started off with light traffic and fog but cleared up for the show. Access is excellent and it’s a very pleasant drive down from the north. They advertize that several hundred, diverse vehicles turn out and they did not exaggerate. From a huge all terrain monster to a slammed VW Bug, hot rods to the newest Ferrari, it was a visual feast. As promised, the gate to the show area opened at 8:30 AM and parking was ample. Did I mention that there is no charge for admission? We arrived (mostly) together and were able to park together. Other English cars included a pristine Jag Mk 2, a couple of vintage Lotus’s and Triumphs and a MINI. No Healeys or Minis! People started leaving at 11:00, but there was plenty of time to inspect and talk with others over coffee. We plan on doing it again Sept. 14th, a Saturday, and will meet up in the large parking lot outside of the show area by 8:20 AM so we can assure that we park together as a Club.
